Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Director to organize and lead the construction operations of large hi-tech pharmaceutical projects in the Philippines. You will be responsible for the overall success of the projects’ quality by setting targets, supervising GC and subcontractors, and ensuring targets are attained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil, mechanical engineering or related field; experience leading project management commissions for medium to large construction projects.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical projects.
• Experience managing contractors in pre and post contract stages and tendering.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines.

• Advising at a strategic level at project conception to achieve client objectives.
• Leading establishment of overall success criteria including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
• Planning and ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
• Establishing governance, processes and systems for the project.

The Project Director is capable to organise and lead the construction operations of large hi-tech manufacturing projects. The role will assume responsibility for the overall success of the projects quality by setting targets, supervising project GC, subcontractors, and ensuring they are attained.

• Advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectives
• Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
• Planning for and the ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues
• Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project
• Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan
• Advising upon the procurement of resources
• Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team
• Monitoring and applying performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance
• Managing the change control process
• Monitoring and advising upon project finances
• Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
• Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports
• Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil, mechanical engineering, construction or related field with experience of leading project management commissions for medium to large sized general construction projects of medium to large complexity.
• 10+ years of relevant experience inpharmaceutical projects.
• Experience and knowledge of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques.
• Experience in managing contractors in pre and post contract stages and managing tendering process will be preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment, to meet often tight deadlines, and to work pro-actively as part of a committed team.
• Work experience in Consultancy company preferred.
• Working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office suite of products.
• Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin andEnglish.
