Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Designer III to join our architectural design team. This role is responsible for supporting the design, development, and construction documentation process for multifamily and commercial projects. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Revit/BIM systems, architectural design, construction documentation, and consultant coordination.
The Project Designer III plays a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design development through construction support, ensuring high-quality deliverables, adherence to applicable building codes, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within established project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Production
- Develop high-quality construction documents, drawings, and specifications using Revit/BIM.
- Participate in design development and provide creative solutions, concepts, and design recommendations.
- Research and apply building codes, zoning requirements, accessibility standards, and industry best practices.
- Produce architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and permit drawing packages.
- Contribute to design presentations for project teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain and organize architectural drawing files and project documentation.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, surveyors, permitting authorities, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and review of site plans, grading plans, and drainage plans.
- Attend project coordination meetings, design reviews, and construction-related discussions.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change order requests in a timely manner.
Construction Administration Support
- Assist with construction-phase services, including site observations and field reviews.
- Prepare reports documenting construction progress and compliance with contract documents.
- Review construction issues and assist in resolving design-related challenges.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct quality control reviews of architectural and consultant drawings.
- Review project documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Support accessibility and ADA compliance efforts.
- Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and deadlines.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular project status updates to supervisors and project leadership.
- Effectively communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to team members and stakeholders.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

QualificationsRequired Education
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture or a related field.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of architectural design experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of multifamily residential design experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of Revit experience (including applicable educational experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on multifamily, mixed-use, or residential development projects.
- Experience coordinating with consultants and permitting agencies.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and construction administration processes.
- Architectural licensure is not required.
