Job description

Project Cost Control (PCC) Head plays a crucial role in project cost management and control. PCC works closely with project directors, project managers, project accountants and other members of the project team to ensure projects are completed within the allocated budget. PCC is responsible for creation of project cost estimates, budgeting and financial analysis and forecast. PCC tracks and reports project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide guidance on cost management best practices

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and other team members to understand project objectives and constraints

  • Develop project budgets, monitor project expenditures and report variances from the budget.

  • Provide guidance on cost management strategies and identify cost-saving opportunities

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to cost control

  • Prepare detailed project cost estimates

  • Review and update cost forecasts based on project changes and progress.

  • Create and maintain cost databases and templates

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, accountancy or a related field

  • Three years of experience in financial planning, cost engineering or a related field

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques

  • Proficiency in cost estimating and control software and tools

  • Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, stakeholders, and other team members

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
