Job summary

AECOM is looking for a BI/Data Analytics specialist to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, clean and analyze data from multiple sources, and automate processes with Python. You will validate data accuracy, support cost and budget analyses, and deliver insights to stakeholders across projects.

The role uses AI tools like Copilot for analysis and will involve SharePoint-based data repositories. Night shifts and 3 days onsite per week are possible as part of the hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting or related field.
• Strong Excel skills with advanced formulas and PivotTables.
• Power BI development including queries, data modeling, dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for performance tracking.
• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Use Python for data processing, analysis, and automation where applicable.
• Validate data and ensure report accuracy and consistency.
• Analyze cost, budget, manpower, labor hours, and performance data.
• Support project and financial reporting including actual vs. budget analysis.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and apply data-driven solutions.
• Leverage AI tools like Microsoft Copilot to aid analysis and problem-solving.
• Develop and maintain SharePoint-based data repositories and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into reports.
• Provide analytical support for ad-hoc requests and reviews.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business and project performance tracking
• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources
• Use Python for data processing, analysis, and automation where applicable
• Perform data validation and ensure accuracy and consistency of reports
• Analyze cost, budget, manpower, labor hours, and performance data
• Support project and financial reporting, including actual vs. budget analysis and variance tracking
• Identify opportunities to improve manual processes through automation and data-driven solutions
• Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to support data analysis, troubleshooting, research, and solution development
• Develop and maintain SharePoint-based data repositories and reporting solutions
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective reports and analytical solutions
• Provide analytical support for ad-hoc requests and business/project reviews
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, Automation, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including advanced formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI , including: Power Query DAX Data modeling Relationships Dashboard and report development
• Experience with SharePoint , particularly lists and data management
• Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, manipulation, or automation
• Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot for productivity, troubleshooting, analysis, or solution development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Must have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in Project Controls.
• Open to working night shift schedule and 3 days onsite per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
• Exposure to project controls, cost reporting, or financial analysis
• Familiarity with WBS, budget monitoring, variance analysis, and earned value concepts
• Experience working with large datasets or multiple data sources
• Interest in emerging technologies, AI, and automation
