Cummins Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to operate CNC machinery and assemble products in a high‑quality, safety‑conscious environment.

You will follow defined cycles and engineering standards while maintaining orderly workspaces and supporting routine maintenance. You will contribute to quality improvements, collaborate with skilled trades, and participate in training to advance safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant export control/regulation knowledge may be needed.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual and automated CNC machines to manufacture and assemble products to meet customer specifications.
  • Meet defined cycle times and engineering standards while maintaining a clean, safe work area.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
  • Support quality, safety, process improvements, and material flow initiatives.
  • Collaborate with peers and skilled trades to achieve production goals and learn continuously.

Job Summary

Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Operate manual and automated CNC machines to manufacture and assemble products to meet customer specifications. Achieve production goals in line with defined cycle times and engineering standards. Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work area; perform routine housekeeping and planned operator care/maintenance tasks. Support troubleshooting of equipment issues and work with skilled trades for repairs. Remain flexible and perform miscellaneous duties to meet production targets. Communicate effectively with team members, skilled trades, and support functions. Actively contribute to quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development improvements. Manufacturing process knowledge of Cylinder block, Head & Connecting is preferred. Knowledge of Mazatrol, Fanuc & Siemens operating control is preferred. Knowledge of cutting tools, Engineering drawing, CMM report reading is preferred.
