Job summary

Teradyne in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Field Reliability Engineer to serve as PSG representative for existing and new product platforms, aligning field and factory operations.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration with Field Teams, Engineering, and Cebu Repair Operations to resolve field issues and contribute to NPI and FRU strategies; travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical preferred).
• 5–10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and team-focused mindset.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex system issues.
• Experience in Product Support, Field Applications, or similar roles is preferred.
• Background in automation or system-level troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Experience with HDD, SLT, or semiconductor testing environments is highly desirable.
• Technical Project Management experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a core PSG representative for existing and new product platforms, aligning field and factory operations.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Field Teams, Engineering (HW/SW), and Cebu Repair Operations to resolve field issues and escalations.
• Lead parts analysis initiatives and drive reliability improvement programs based on failure trends.
• Actively participate in new product development meetings, providing product support and reliability input.
• Support system installations by coordinating with install teams on tools, resources, and readiness requirements.
• Define and implement Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) strategies to optimize serviceability and turnaround time.
• Plan, organize, and manage field upgrades, repair activities, NPI, product transfers, and NR projects.
• Partner with documentation teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of service and technical materials.
• Monitor and evaluate part reliability for new products, driving corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and publish reliability reports based on field performance data and failure analysis.
• Travel requirement: up to 20%.

All About You

• Experience in Hard Disk Drives (HDD), System Level Test (SLT), or semiconductor test environments is highly desirable
• Technical Project Management experience is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage cross‑functional stakeholders
