Overview
Under the general supervision of the Vice President/Product Manager, The Product Specialist Supports the overall management, promotion and performance of assigned products. This role will help provide product orientation and training and solutions to business partners and customers. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new strategies that will aid in achieving the company's strategic objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate product presentation, sales orientation, demonstration, and train internal sales team, partners, resellers, and end customer for product familiarization.
- Provide assistance to customers with requirement identification and offer recommendations for best possible solution.
- Maintain an awareness concerning product enhancements and market situation to prepare promotional activity.
- Monitor the sales performance of competitor to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position.
- Ensure to have regular updated price list and issue copy to sales team and partners for price update.
- Assist in the preparation of an acceptable annual sales target, monitor the performance of sales staff and take remedial action where necessary to ensure sales targets are met.
- Provide product demonstration as requested by partners and clients to have knowledge of product usage and advantage.
- Visit resellers and end users as part of business strategy to identify needs, concerns, and gain insight in the activity of competitors.
- Coordinate with sales staff to track and identify possible sales funnel to be able to create new deals and close targets.
- Process tenders starting from placement of order up to product delivery and provides collection assistance if necessary.
- Maintain an open line of communication with sales staff including HQ and branches to obtain immediate assistance as needed.
- Provide assistance in the development and implementation of short and medium term sales objectives.
- Maintain financial coordination within sales force.
- Assist monitoring and control funds, collaterals, and giveaways intended for the specific product to ensure that all objectives are met and that necessary controls are implemented.
- Prepare monthly and weekly sales performance, inventory stocks status, HP initiated programs, claims and rebates status and sales funnel reports to update management.
- Maintain good relations with customers to ensure that the company remains as the preferred supplier.
- Performs other functions which may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
