Job summary

Freelancer.com is seeking a Product Quality Analyst to conduct QA on our web and mobile applications, ensuring cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility. You will create test plans, execute test cases, report defects, and help maintain product documentation to align expectations across teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/SE and at least 3 years of QA or software testing experience, with familiarity in SDLC and Agile/Scrum practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Product Quality Analyst, QA Analyst or Software Tester in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong experience in manual testing for web and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies including Regression Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Functional Testing, and UI/UX Testing.
• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in creating test plans, test cases, test scenarios and bug reports.
• Experience using bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

With our mission to provide one billion jobs across the globe, we are in need of a Product Quality Analyst

who will be responsible for conducting quality assurance testing on all our web applications. This process

includes testing the entire functionality of our web applications, in multiple browsers and platforms, and

reporting any issues and/or defects detected.

As a sneak peak of behind the scenes, you’ll be able to:

• Test web applications and mobile applications with a strong focus on product requirements and product specification
• Employ a variety of testing methodologies such as Manual, Integration, Regression, User Acceptance
• Perform multi-platform, and cross browser, and UI/UX testing to ensure consistency and usability
• Prepare test plans, peer-review, and execute on test cases to ensure product quality
• Create detailed bug and test reports
• Own and maintain product documentation to align on product expectations org-wide
• Take part in team’s entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and actively provide insights on product quality and user experience enhancements
• Create and maintain automated test scripts
