The role

You’ll own several product areas at Avvoka outright - the roadmap, the calls, and whether what ships actually works for the people using it. Not a backlog to administer: a set of problems that are yours to understand and yours to solve.

You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with design, engineering, legal prompt engineering and QA, from first research through to a feature live in the hands of magic circle firms, global banks and in-house teams, with the Head of Product close by as a sounding board. In twelve months you should be able to point at things thousands of lawyers use every day and say which of them were your judgement calls.

What You'll Do

Understand and shape

• Run structured discovery across your areas - user interviews, usage data, CS and Sales feedback - and separate what people ask for from the problem they actually have.
• Translate business and roadmap objectives into prioritised, technically feasible solutions, shaping them with engineering rather than handing them over.
• Own the roadmap for your areas and make the prioritisation calls yourself, saying no to good ideas in service of better ones and leaving people aligned rather than aggrieved.
• Work closely with the Head of Product on direction and trade-offs, and call for help early - flagging that you are stuck, blocked or out of your depth is expected here, not a mark against you.

Deliver

• Take each build from initial research to launch across design, engineering, legal prompt engineering and QA - delivery ends when a feature is live and working, not when requirements are handed over.
• See dependencies before they bite, handle scope change deliberately, and make sure CS, Sales and Support know what's coming, when, and what it means for their clients.
• Run betas and experiments properly, with a clear hypothesis and a decision rule for what happens next.

Prove it worked

• Move the metrics you set out to move, work both leading and lagging indicators, and run feedback loops that change what you do next rather than just getting reported.

What You'll Bring

• Owned the roadmap for a product area end to end, made the prioritisation calls, and can explain the ones you got wrong.
• Real technical fluency - you hold your own with engineers, understand the constraints and trade-offs in your area, and shape solutions rather than receive them.
• Shipped AI or LLM-backed features, and can judge whether the output is actually good rather than just whether the model responded.
• A track record of delivery that ends at launch: you've carried builds through design, QA and release, not handed them off at the spec.
• Discovery instincts backed by evidence - you go looking for what would prove you wrong before you commit to a direction.
• Clear, direct, low-drama communication across cultures and time zones, working with colleagues in Manila, London and Prague.
• The judgement to know when to ask - you raise problems early with your Head of Product and pull in support rather than quietly absorbing them.
