A leading consulting firm is seeking a Product Lead to oversee strategic initiatives, manage complex projects, and lead teams in delivering innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, transformational leadership, and project management, driving success across diverse stakeholder groups. We are looking for a Product lead who has an end-to-end strategic focus around our services and leads our squads in terms of clear prioritization, accountability and capabilities. The Product Lead is a position where all elements of a product come together, the what and the how, with an end-to-end transformation responsibility. You work not only on delivery and on how we run a product, but also on creating a vision on how we improve our services, how we manage the business value and how we increase collaboration across functions.
You do that by steering squads who work on a specific service by providing them with a strategic direction, by coaching them on the job, defining the product roadmap and by managing stakeholders. The people who work in the squads report to you, which means it is your job to empower them to thrive and perform at their best. You set direction, you help them to develop their craftsmanship and you have continuous conversations about their career development. As a Product Lead you report hierarchically to the Tribe Lead
Key Responsibilities
As a Product Lead, you:
Actively manage all internal parties and projects to successfully deliver upon the initiatives of your domain
Take ownership of a number of regulatory transformation initiatives, as well as various internally-driven projects for a diverse group of stakeholders
Be the hierarchical manager of a team of IT Business Analysts, as well as functionally steering our IT Engineers
Be able to work in a collaborative and highly complex setting across functions
Be able to influence other teams outside of your own area or even your department
Able to take responsibility, steer strategy and execute changes based on facts and data; with managerial courage to question and make decisions
Build the craftsmanship of the employees in the team
Key Capabilities/Experience

As a Product Lead, you will also need to be able to:
Drive and manage change programs in an international context and master complex financial content within your tribe (eg: market risk, credit risk, operating risk, analytics)
Lead and deliver complex (multi-year) change programs on program level – covering multiple countries / functional departments
Communicate effectively to senior management, in which you can adapt your style and the content of your communication to the needs of others you work with. You always pay attention to the input and opinions of others
Be organizational savvy, you maneuver easily through complex policies, processes and people-related organizational dynamics across ING
Look ahead, you show a strategic mindset and you find future opportunities which you can translate into concrete strategies
Have an affinity for technology, so that you can manage not only the business requirements but also ensure we design good system and data solutions in the short and medium term.
Build an effective team, that has diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals
People management: being responsible for the inflow, progression, and outflow of employees of ‘your’ teams and playing an active role in the well-being and engagement of employees and the development of their craftsmanship
Minimum Qualifications
Hands on experience with data analytics, and tooling. Including SQL and also SAS, or another (statistical) programming language.
Proven experience in transformation programs and relevant change execution experience
Experience in defining strategies and policies in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames
Proficient expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary initiatives, ideally involving topics like banking and technology
A proven track record in process management and backlog management, with experience in project management being highly desirable
Experience in explaining complex issues in an easy-to-understand way to get people on board, including by using your strong analytical skills
Have a ‘can do’ mentality, proactive, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile
Proven track record at management level and experience in Banking
Education at University with a (Master) degree in a related study (e.g. Business Administration, Technology, Finance)
An excellent level of English
