Job description

Job Description:

  • Prepares Purchase Orders (P.O.) based on validated, competitive and approved unit price from accredited supplier/s;

  • Bargains unreasonable and sudden price increase to his superiors and negotiates best and final price from the suppliers prior to P.O. preparation;

  • Submits canvass report for at least two to three potential and accredited vendor/ supplier for repeat or re-order requests and for the new item;

  • Negotiates discount for all cash on delivery transaction or getting much economical price by not compromising the quality of the products or services;

  • Follows the standard procedures in the preparation of preparing P.O. using Hospital system (HIMS) Material Management module;

  • Ensures that all purchase requests are processed on time and submits for approval the P.O. within 5 days and another 10 days allowance for delivery of orders;

  • Conducts regular follow-up from the supplier on the status of stock and informs the concerned unit/ department of the status;

  • Reporting an isolated purchasing incidence, suggest corrective actions, and address purchasing critical issues and concerns; and

  • Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the Purchasing Head from time to time.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics or any related field

  • At least two (2) years of work-related experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to get the best possible product at the best possible price

  • Great relationship management and communication skills

  • Two (2) Full-Time positions available

  • Can start ASAP
