Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management in manufacturing, transport, or logistics.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in Excel and procurement/inventory software.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and inventory management methodologies.
• Team player with problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive quotations and pricing.
• Process purchase orders and manage procurement documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve optimal value for the organisation.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely replenishment of materials.
• Track and reconcile purchase orders against supplier invoices and delivery receipts.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any discrepancies or issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of supplier databases and vendor performance metrics.
