A leading company in property management is looking for a Procurement Assistant to support supplier appraisals, process purchase orders, and facilitate negotiations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree and strong communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office being essential. Assist in appraising and shortlisting of suppliers.
Obtain proposal/quotes/bids from suppliers, contractors and service providers.
Evaluate and analyze proposal/quotes/bids and recommend for negotiation.
Provide negotiating points to the purchasing head and/or the bidding committee.
Process shopping carts/purchase requisitions for conversion into purchase orders.
Provide periodic reports on the status of shopping carts and purchase orders.
Coordinate with end-users on items being requested.
Provide periodic reports on savings generated thru negotiation and other initiatives.
Establish other procurement activities to obtain the best cost, quality, and supplier.
Monitor price trends for various materials, especially those with volatile prices.
Provide data that may be required by the purchasing head or the bidding committee or other members of the APMC Management team.
Assist in supplier maintenance and management by way of providing vendor performance evaluation or incident reports if any.
Do other tasks that may be required from time to time.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree (Finance/Accounting/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent is a plus)
No work experience required (related experienced is a plus)
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Applications such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Knowledge in SAP is an advantage
Must possess good written and oral communication skills
Must be highly organized and has a keen attention to small details
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines require
