Job summary

Fluor Corp is seeking a Process Engineer II in Manila to provide process technology engineering and support for moderately complex systems. You will develop PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and participate in safety reviews.

Qualifications

What we are currently looking for is a Process Engineer II. This position provides Process Technology engineering and technical support for intermediate systems with moderate complexity.

Typical job duties and responsibilities are:

• Perform process engineering assignments such as creating Mass Balances, PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), and P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
• Participate in P&ID and safety reviews
• Perform pump hydraulics, line sizing, equipment sizing, calculating heat duty, specifying pressure safety devices, instrument sizing, flare header sizing
• Periodically review work of others to assure overall quality of process designs
• Check vendor submittals against equipment specifications
• Get familiar with and apply Fluor's practices and procedures.
• Assist in preparation of documents related to Process engineering deliverables
• Understand and follow baseline documents for your project
• Perform process studies for more complex systems
• Contact and consult with other engineering disciplines within Fluor in addition to process engineers and supervisors
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Eight (8) years or more of EPC-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field
• BS or MS Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Experience creating P&IDs, PFDs and mass balances
• Experience with pump hydraulics for more advanced systems
• Experience with Pressure Safety Devices - scenario analysis and load calculations
• Experience with control valve sizing
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with audiences that include management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge in our industries necessary to complete the job
• Apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Apply knowledge of applicable industry guidelines and regulations
• Advanced experience with Microsoft tools
• Attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with an EPC company in a process engineering role
• Familiarity with process simulator tools such as Aspen & Unisim

• Active chemical engineering license in the Philippines
