Job summary

CDS preschools is seeking a Preschool Occupational Therapist to support children ages 3-5 with disabilities, preparing them for Kindergarten. The role is full-time at the Forest Friends preschool in Mexico, with travel to nearby locations as needed.

The therapist will work as part of an IFSP/IEP team, conducting evaluations, providing treatment, and ensuring services meet IDEA requirements. A strong emphasis on family communication and collaborative planning is essential.

Qualifications

• State of Maine OT license required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence required or eligible.
• Background check, fingerprints, and reference check required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with parents and explain the IFSP/IEP process.
• Conduct observations in natural environments and in LRE settings as directed.
• Gather developmental history and administer non-discriminatory assessments.
• Contribute to IFSP/IEP goal development and progress reporting.
• Provide occupational therapy services as specified by IFSP/IEP.
