The Pre-Delivery Inspector / Tint Installer is responsible for ensuring that brand-new vehicles are properly inspected, prepared, cleaned, and equipped with required accessories before delivery to customers. The position also performs professional automotive tint installation while ensuring that all work meets the Company's quality, safety, and customer service standards.
Conduct thorough inspection of newly arrived vehicles based on the Company's PDI checklist.
Inspect the vehicle's exterior, interior, electrical components, lights, tires, fluids, battery, safety equipment, and other critical components.
Check for scratches, dents, paint defects, missing parts, manufacturing defects, and other abnormalities.
Verify vehicle accessories, tools, spare tire, documents, keys, and other items are complete.
Perform basic functional checks and ensure the vehicle is in proper operating condition before release.
Report any defects or discrepancies immediately to the Aftersales Manager or assigned supervisor.
Ensure all PDI findings and corrective actions are properly documented.
Conduct final quality inspection before the vehicle is endorsed for customer delivery.
Coordinate with Sales and Service personnel regarding vehicle readiness and delivery schedules.
Install automotive window tint according to the customer's approved specification and Company standards.
Measure, cut, shape, and apply tint film accurately to vehicle windows.
Ensure proper alignment and application without bubbles, wrinkles, scratches, creases, dust particles, or visible defects.
Properly prepare and clean glass surfaces before installation.
Handle tinting tools, films, cleaning materials, and other equipment properly.
Follow manufacturer recommendations regarding application, curing, and after-installation care.
Inspect completed tint installation and correct any workmanship issues before vehicle release.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the tinting work area.
Ensure vehicles are properly cleaned and prepared prior to customer delivery.
Check that accessories and customer-requested installations are correctly completed.
Protect vehicle interiors and exterior surfaces during inspection and installation.
Conduct final walk-around inspection and report any remaining concerns.
Ensure vehicles are handled carefully and are free from avoidable damage before turnover.
Follow all Company safety policies, workshop procedures, and proper handling practices.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
Properly operate and maintain tools and equipment.
Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged tools, vehicle damage, or workplace incidents.
Maintain proper housekeeping and follow the Company's 5S/workshop cleanliness standards.
High school graduate, vocational graduate, or equivalent; automotive-related education is an advantage.
With experience in automotive PDI, vehicle detailing, automotive tint installation, or related work preferred.
Knowledge of basic automotive components and vehicle inspection procedures.
Skilled in automotive window tint installation is an advantage.
Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on automotive work.
Attention to detail and strong quality-control awareness.
Able to follow checklists, work instructions, and safety procedures.
Willing to work on-site and according to dealership operating schedules.
