The PDI Tinter is responsible for professionally applying high-quality window tint to vehicles as part of the Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) process. This role ensures all tinting applications meet quality standards, comply with Philippine regulations, and enhance customer satisfaction. The PDI Tinter will work closely with the PDI team to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Window Tint Application & Quality Assurance
- Precisely measure, cut, and apply window tint film to various vehicle models
- Ensure a smooth, bubble-free, and uniform tint application using the proper tools and techniques.
- Follow Nissan's global standards and Philippine automotive tinting laws for film selection and application.
- Inspect each tinted vehicle for imperfections, peeling, or bubbles, ensuring a flawless finish before customer handover.
- Compliance and Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with Philippine laws on vehicle window tinting visibility and light transmission limits; follow safety procedures when handling tint films, adhesives, and tools; maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent contamination or damage to vehicles.
- Equipment and Inventory Management: Properly maintain tinting tools such as heat guns, precision cutters, squeegees, and film applicators; monitor stock levels of tint films and coordinate replenishments with the PDI Supervisor; ensure that all tinting materials used are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standard.
- Collaboration and Efficiency: Work closely with the PDI Supervisor, Technicians, and Vehicle Detailers to ensure timely vehicle readiness; assist in training new team members on tinting techniques and standards; provide suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications And Skills
- TESDA Certification in Automotive Servicing
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience window tinting
- Prior experience working in a PDI department at a car dealership is a plus
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in using tinting tools (heat guns, precision cutters, squeegees, etc.)
- Knowledge of various tint films, including UV reducing and heat-rejecting films
- Familiarity with Philippine laws on vehicle tint darkness levels and visibility requirements
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce flawless tint finishes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
