Job description

The Philippines is the call center capital of the world, and that industry is about to be rebuilt as software. In the US, Sierra and Decagon are leading the rebuild at $15 billion and $4.5 billion valuations. What money can't buy is instinct.

This country earned it: a generation of handling the world's customers, better than anyone. Tenext, Filipino-owned, is turning that instinct into software. The proof: head to head, our agents beat products from incumbents who've raised 80x more than we have, on every KPI our clients measure.

Every agent is AI. No floor, no headsets, no hold music. A customer gets answered on the first ring, at 2am, on a holiday. Enterprise clients are in production today, more are closing this quarter, and we're closing our latest funding round to grow the team and move faster. Next: Southeast Asia.

About the Role

When we win an enterprise client or beat an incumbent head to head, almost nobody outside the room hears about it. You fix that. We build AI and we use it: first drafts of releases, posts, and articles take minutes here. Your value is everything AI can't do: getting a journalist to answer, filling a room, and turning who you meet into coverage, candidates, and pipeline.

The honest version: this is a one-person function, though not a cold start, the CEO makes introductions and joins press conversations with you, especially early on. The hard parts are real: evening events on weeks you're tired, journalists who ignored your last three messages, and quiet months you still have to fill with something worth reading. Success by day 90 looks like this: coverage placed in two outlets our clients read, one event run end to end, and a LinkedIn cadence producing measurable inbound.

Where You Might be Coming From
  • An account executive at a PR or integrated agency, tired of splitting your journalist relationships across six clients
  • A community or events manager at a coworking space, accelerator, or industry association who knows half the room at every Manila startup event
  • An in-house social media manager who kept getting pulled into organizing the launch event, and liked that part more
  • A business or tech journalist who wants to cross to the other side
  • A startup marketing generalist who was the de facto press, events, and social person
What You'll Do
  • Build and work a living press list of Philippine business and tech journalists: meet them regularly, place our client wins, funding news, and executive profiles
  • Run the company LinkedIn and social accounts end to end, from calendar to replies, with a monthly report on reach and inbound leads or applicants
  • Organize 1-2 events per quarter (press briefings, roundtables, recruiting nights), owning guest list through follow-up; when an evening event runs late, the next morning flexes
  • Represent Tenext at Manila tech, startup, and BPO-transformation gatherings and convert what you hear into stories and introductions
  • Produce the content pipeline with AI tools: releases, ghostwritten CEO thought leadership, employer-brand stories, and website updates, where your job is judgment and accuracy, not typing
  • Manage external vendors (designers, photographers, web developers) against briefs and budgets you write, including a one-time rebrand project in your first months, plus basic website SEO upkeep
Who You Are
  • 2-5 years in PR, communications, events, community, or social media, OR you can show us a network and track record that proves the same skills
  • You have contacts you can name: journalists who reply to you, organizers who'd co-host with you, and you can tell us how you built them
  • You've run a brand's social presence or organized events end to end, and have at least one story about a day-of failure and what you did
  • You use AI tools fluently and catch their failure modes, the invented fact, the off-brand line, before anything ships (we will test this)
Also Valuable, Not Required

Strong writing craft of your own; B2B software or AI marketing experience; BPO industry ties; SEO beyond the basics; hands-on design skills.

What You'll Get
  • PHP 50,000-70,000/month, stated because "competitive" tells you nothing
  • HMO coverage, all statutory benefits, paid leave, and company-provided equipment
  • Trajectory: you're employee one of this function. As we grow into Southeast Asia, this seat becomes a team, and we intend to promote from this seat, not hire above it
Hiring Process
  • Take-home work sample (2-3 hours, AI tools encouraged): turn a briefing into an announcement, a media target list, and a short event plan
  • Onsite at Rockwell: work sample debrief plus interviews with the CEO and closest collaborators

Applications reviewed on a rolling basis; target decision by October 16, 2026. We stick to this process and this timeline. If anything changes, you'll hear it from us first.
