Job summary

AboitizPower in the Philippines seeks a Mechanical Technician to perform proactive and corrective maintenance on turbine, pump and valve systems in our power plant. The role requires hands-on problem solving, reading diagrams, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

You will work with technicians and engineers, attend planning meetings, and document all maintenance activities accurately. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and suitable trade certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as Mechanical Technician or equivalent in a power/industrial plant.
• Certifications in pipe fitting, machinery alignment/repairs, welding, valve repairs.
• Knowledge of turbines, pumps, compressors and other power-plant equipment.
• Ability to read manuals, diagrams and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance per safety regs and plans.
• Attend planning and liaison meetings and document activities.
• Ensure equipment care and personal safety in daily tasks.
