Job description

Only candidates with legal authorization to work in the Philippines will be considered for this role.

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Power BI development, data modeling, and performance optimization, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights. This role is instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations tailored to business needs.
• Design and optimize complex data models using DAX and Power Query (M).
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, present insights, and iterate on BI solutions.
• Connect, transform, and integrate data from various sources including SQL, APIs, Excel, and cloud platforms.
• Utilize Microsoft Fabric, OData, and Dataverse in building scalable and integrated BI solutions.
• Ensure best practices in data governance, report performance, and security (including RLS).
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers as needed.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure end-to-end data flow and reporting.
• Maintain and enhance existing BI solutions to support evolving business demands.
• Document technical solutions, data definitions, and change logs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in Power BI development with a strong BI/analytics background.
• Mandatory experience with Microsoft Fabric, OData, and Dataverse.
• Deep knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and advanced data modeling techniques.
• Proficient in SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience in managing workspaces, data gateways, RLS, and Power BI Service.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a business-oriented mindset.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Azure SQL).
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R for data transformation.
• Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300 or equivalent).
• Background in data visualization best practices and dashboard UI/UX.
• Prior experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
