Qualifications

POLLUTION CONTROL OFFICER (PCO)

Job Description:

Responsible for ensuring environmental compliance and implementing pollution prevention, waste management, and environmental monitoring programs. The PCO will prepare regulatory reports, maintain environmental documentation, and coordinate with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) and other regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws, permits, and regulations
• Implement pollution prevention and waste management programs
• Conduct environmental monitoring and maintain compliance records
• Prepare and submit required environmental reports and documentation
• Coordinate with EMB and other regulatory agencies
• Support environmental audits, inspections, and corrective actions
• Assist in energy management and environmental sustainability programs
• Promote workplace safety and environmental awareness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
• Licensed and/or accredited PCO, as required by applicable regulations
• Knowledge of Philippine environmental laws, regulations, permits, and compliance requirements
• Experience in environmental monitoring, waste management, and pollution control
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial plants, construction, or facilities management is an advantage
• Familiarity with energy management and sustainability programs is a plus
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and coordination skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and report preparation
• Detail-oriented and committed to environmental compliance and workplace safety
