Qualifications

Responsibilities

We’re keeping a seat open for a skilled, detail-oriented Podcast Video Editor who will fully own our weekly video podcast, from the edit to the final publish. You’ll edit full-length episodes, cut engaging short-form clips, write show notes, and schedule content on our social media channels. Our podcast features senior leaders in a regulated professional industry, so accuracy, polish, and a professional creative style are essential. The best match will be someone with strong editing skills, a sharp eye for detail, and fresh ideas that keep the show growing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit full-length video podcast episodes in Riverside and Descript
• Proofread and correct captions and transcripts, including technical industry terminology
• Pull short-form clips and highlights from each episode for social media
• Create episode thumbnails with existing tools and brand templates
• Write and publish show notes in Buzzsprout, following the supplied guidelines and AI-assisted workflows
• Schedule and publish weekly social media posts through Publer
• Set up and maintain consistent visual templates (colors, formats, layouts) so each episode and clip looks unified
• Hand over all episode assets on time every week, ahead of agreed deadlines
• Recommend creative improvements to clips, formats, and presentation that boost reach and engagement

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience editing long-form video podcasts or interview-style video content
• Hands-on experience creating short-form clips for YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Instagram, or similar platforms
• Proficiency in Descript and/or Riverside (or strong experience with comparable editing tools)
• Excellent written English and a high level of accuracy in captions, transcripts, and show notes
• Ability to produce polished, professional content suited to a business audience
• Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Publer, Buffer, or similar
• Trustworthy, exact, and self-reliant
• Strong communication skills and the ability to meet weekly deadlines every time

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Buzzsprout or other podcast hosting platforms
• Familiarity with British English spelling and terminology
• Experience with content in property, construction, surveying, or other professional services industries
• Basic knowledge of SEO or digital marketing for podcast and video content
• Thumbnail and graphic design experience in Canva or similar tools
• Experience developing brand templates and visual guidelines for content
• Comfortable using AI tools to support content workflows
