Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to lead plating and backetch operations in our Laguna, Philippines site. You will own process performance, drive optimization, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure safe and high-quality manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Chemical Eng, Chemistry, or related field.
• Experience in process engineering in manufacturing, preferably tin plating or etching.
• Strong data analysis and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize plating, waterjet, and backetch processes to meet safety, quality, and cost targets.
• Lead root-cause analysis for yield loss and equipment issues.
• Define and improve process recipes, operating windows, and control plans.
• Analyze data, identify trends, implement CAPA.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects and cycle times.
• Support process qualification, validation, and changes for new materials/equipment.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Equipment Eng, and EHS.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and technical reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
