Overview

Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Plant Finance Analyst.

The Plant Finance Analyst is responsible for ensuring all accounting transactions under the Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers are recorded and reported timely and accurately.

Analyze the Actual Total Manufacturing cost (TMC), Fixed manufacturing expenses (FME), and Plant, Warehouse and Distribution Centers Operating Expenses (OPEX).

Ensure that accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP, local and statutory requirements, and the company’s policies.

Timely and accurate preparation with explanations on the various reporting requirements of Plant Finance, including Management Performance Reports (MPR), TMC, OPEX/FME, Savings, and Volume Price Variance.

Ensure the accuracy of the annual budget of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and FME for the Plant from submission to uploading in SAP.

Ensure all government taxes are paid on time; statutory requirements of the Plants, Warehouse and Distribution are updated and 100% compliant with Local Government Units and National Government where necessary; and other requirements in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Legal Requirements.

Manages the Production Controllers to support various Plant Finance activities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Supervises the Production Controllers to Support the Plant Finance Activities Closing, Managing RMPM usages, on-time and accurate Technically Complete (TECO) Process Orders.
  • Monitors status of Process Orders daily and towards month-end closing.
  • Adheres to the Process Order Management Policy.
  • Ensures that posting dates of transactions (SAP Movement types 101, 102, 261, 262, 311, 312) are recorded in the same closing period.
  • Ensures that manual adjustments (Journal Voucher) are eliminated or minimized.
  • Tracks, reports and analyzes reasons for non-compliance of Plant Controllers on daily control of process orders.
  • Tracks and monitors Inventory Count at Production floor and Logistics.
  • Creates journal entries for Direct Labor, Variable Overhead (DLVOH) accruals and adjustments.
  • Monitors and validates the automated TMC / Lean manufacturing Roger"s dashboard with generated manual and SAP reports.
  • Evaluates and maintains the accuracy of the financial entries and cost centers reflected under Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers.
  • Accurate and on-time Plant Closing Activities should be completed on Work Day 1.
  • Provides timely analysis on Manufacturing Cost, Variance, Savings, FME Results to the Plant Leadership team.
  • Ensures timely submission and accuracy on various reporting requirements needed by the Plant Finance Manager (PFM), Finance Director and other Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) stakeholders.
  • Works with the PFMs to ensure the accuracy of the Annual Standard Costs for Raw Material Packaging Material (RMPM), Direct Labor, VOH, FME Budget submitted to management and uploaded in SAP.
  • Supports the PFMs in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the Accounting System (e.g., SAP ECC or S4 Hana) and other Reporting Dashboards relevant to the Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers.
  • Provides proactive support to the PFMs in the attainment of the KPIs, OKRs.
  • Supports the PFM and be present in the Plant ManCom Meeting such as, but not limited to, Daily Stand Up (DSU) meetings.
  • Provides trainings and evaluates the performance and provides timely improvement feedback of the Production Controllers.
  • Actively participates in cost control procedures, spare parts control, inventory cycle of the Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers.
  • Acts as Finance representative in the RMPM FG SPS Inventory cycle account of the Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers.
  • Acts as Finance representative in the Annual Fixed Asset count of the Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers.
  • Supports the PFMs in the resolution of internal audit issues related to Plant Finance.
  • Supports the PFMs in external audit requirements.
  • Prepares all required financial accounting reports and maintains all accounting files in accordance with local and statutory requirements and Company policies.
  • Provides clear communication and updates in the Financial Guidelines/Policies related to the Plant.
  • Supports in any Agile or Special Projects of Commercial Finance, Plant Finance, and other Manufacturing Departments that need Finance validation.
Qualifications
  • BS Accountancy graduate; a CPA board passer is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as Cost Accountant or Plant Accountant with Plant Manufacturing background.
  • Knowledgeable in SAP Accounting system.
  • MS Office knowledge, especially Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, PIVOT, SUMIF formulas).
  • Requires minimum supervision and is a good team player.
  • Keen to details and an advocate of Continuous Improvement.
  • Familiarity with LEAN / AGILE ways of working.
  • Has very good Stakeholder management and business partnering.
  • Willing to be based in San Pedro, Laguna.
