Job summary

Wärtsilä Energy seeks a skilled Plant Electrician (PSI) to maintain and improve reliability, safety, and performance of plant electrical systems, PLCs, and I&C equipment. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement in a dynamic energy plant environment.

The candidate will work with operations and maintenance teams, ensuring safe, efficient operation, and contributing to downtime minimization and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Experience in industrial plant maintenance, power generation, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical equipment, motors, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC and instrumentation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant electrical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, PLC, and instrumentation & control (I&C) equipment.
• Ensure plant electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
• Conduct inspections and identify potential electrical faults or risks before they impact operations.
• Support plant shutdowns, commissioning activities, and equipment upgrades when required.
• Analyze recurring issues and recommend practical solutions to improve plant electrical performance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety standards and procedures.
