Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
• 10+ years in progressive manufacturing leadership roles.
• Minimum 5 years leading a large manufacturing operation or multi-functional plant.
• Experience with P&L or full accountability for operations.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence.
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, HR.
• Fluent English and Spanish required.

Core Molding Technologies is seeking a Plant Director to lead all aspects of manufacturing operations at our Matamoros facility. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, cost, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction while ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and business objectives.

The Plant Director provides leadership across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, finance, human resources, EHSS, and continuous improvement. This individual will develop high-performing teams, strengthen customer relationships, and drive sustainable growth through operational discipline and Lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, EHSS, Human Resources, Finance, and Customer Support
• Drive plant performance across key business metrics including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, and Employee Engagement
• Develop and execute strategic plans that improve operational efficiency, capacity, profitability, and customer satisfaction
• Establish and maintain a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
• Lead and develop the plant leadership team while building organizational capability and succession plans
• Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
• Oversee plant financial performance, including operating budgets, capital investments, forecasting, and cost management
• Partner with commercial teams to support customer growth, new business opportunities, and product launches
• Serve as the primary executive contact for customers, corporate leadership, and external stakeholders
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence methodologies
• Ensure successful execution of new product introductions, manufacturing transfers, and capacity expansion projects
• Promote a strong culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and employee engagement
• Drive improvements in quality systems, manufacturing processes, and operational performance
• Communicate business performance, risks, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years leading a large manufacturing operation or multi-functional plant leadership team
• Experience managing complex manufacturing operations with full P&L or operational accountability
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Human Resources
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and cost management
• Experience supporting OEM customers and complex manufacturing programs preferred
• Knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing best practices
