Cosy Hauz A Ltd. is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Planning Consultant to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is essential in navigating the complexities of the UK planning system and providing strategic advice to our clients on urban planning projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive planning appraisals and assessments for various development projects, ensuring compliance with UK planning regulations and policies
  • Prepare detailed reports, planning submissions, and documents for planning applications
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to facilitate smooth communication and support throughout the planning process
  • Provide expert advice on planning strategies, site selection, and project feasibility assessments
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and best practices
  • Assist in the preparation of planning applications, including the development of supporting documentation
  • Contribute to project management activities and collaborate with the Planning & Acquisition Team

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree in Planning, Urban Studies, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a planning consultancy role or local authority
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning policies and procedures
  • Excellent analytical, research, and report-writing skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in client engagement
  • Proficient in using planning software and tools, with working knowledge of GIS applications as an advantage

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Urban Studies, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience working as a Planning Consultant or in a local authority setting
  • In-depth familiarity with UK planning legislation and public policies
  • Proficiency in report writing and presentations, with strong attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal skills, enabling clear communication with clients and stakeholders
