Filoil Logistics Corporation requires a skilled pipe welder to join our maintenance team in Metro Manila. The role involves welding and fabricating piping systems, reading technical drawings, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of pipe welding experience, familiarity with SMAW, GTAW/TIG, and GMAW/MIG processes, and a strong commitment to safety in potentially hazardous environments.
Perform pipe welding and fabrication using SMAW, GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, or other applicable welding processes.
Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, blueprints, and piping layouts.
Prepare pipes and materials by measuring, cutting, beveling, fitting, and aligning components.
Perform welding works for carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping materials as required.
Conduct repairs, modifications, and replacement of existing pipelines and piping components.
Perform fit-up, tack welding, and final welding according to specifications.
Inspect completed welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, and incomplete penetration.
Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, welding machines, cutting equipment, and measuring instruments.
Assist in installation and maintenance of pipes, valves, flanges, supports, and related piping systems.
Conduct grinding, cleaning, and finishing of welded joints.
Follow proper hot work, confined space, and work permit procedures.
Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in good working condition.
Observe strict safety, environmental, and HSE procedures, especially when working around fuel, chemicals, and other hazardous materials.
Coordinate with technicians, maintenance personnel, and supervisors to complete assigned work.
Prepare work accomplishment reports and report any defects, hazards, or equipment concerns.
Perform other duties related to welding and maintenance as assigned.
Graduate of Technical/Vocational course in Welding, Pipefitting, or related field.
At least 1–2 years of experience in pipe welding, preferably in industrial, construction, plant, or oil and gas environments.
Knowledgeable in SMAW, GTAW/TIG, or other pipe-welding processes.
Able to read and understand piping drawings and welding symbols.
Familiar with pipe fitting, alignment, beveling, and fabrication.
TESDA NC II in SMAW/GTAW or relevant welding certification is an advantage.
Physically fit and willing to work in various conditions and locations.
Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays when required.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
