You will be working alongside a team of other developers in creating, maintaining, and updating our websites. In order for you to succeed in this role, you will need to be proficient in PHP Native and PHP Framework, Database Management: SQL, Mysql, API: Firebase, AWS and have solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.

Handling the system department of Native Camp, one of the largest online English language schools in Japan, FORTY DEGREES CELSIUS INC., is engaged in the business of Information Technology (IT) and IT-enabled services such as web development, web translation, handling, and managing of computer data, processing, storage, systems design and analysis, creative services, programming, data communication, and consultancy for foreign clients.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for delivering functionalities in Web App using PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, MySQL

• Responsible for designing, documenting and delivering API which will be used to manage data between the server and the users.

• Flexible in providing support for maintenance of existing applications.

• Plan, design and document optimized database changes required to deliver a specification

• Assess and Provide Estimation on development effort required for specific requirements

• Perform SQL Optimizations on existing application features

• Performs data analysis and investigation on issues

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in the basic web languages: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Strong PHP + CakePhp and MySQL development experience

• Outstanding coding skills

• Knowledge in CSS Framework like Bootstrap

• Good knowledge of version control tools (GIT)

• Experience with distributed memory object caching systems (memcache)

• Strong knowledge of database concepts

• Strong design, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience on requirements analysis. Translating specification to technical approach.

• Minimum 2 years solid experience in PHP or any PHP framework
