Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Safety and Efficacy Specialist to join our global pharmacovigilance organization. The role focuses on structured analysis of safety data, high-quality case handling, and continuous improvement to support patient safety in a hybrid day shift setting.

You will interface with cross-functional teams, perform data entry and validation in safety systems, and ensure traceability for regulatory and quality purposes.

Qualifications

• Apply PV knowledge to safety assessments and documentation.
• Handle case intake and coding with accuracy in PV systems.
• Collaborate with clinical, regulatory, and medical teams.
• Maintain data quality and compliance with SOPs.
• Communicate safety information clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end pharmacovigilance activities with safety data review and validation.
• Perform timely case data entry and reconciliation in safety systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to clarify safety information.
• Execute routine safety database queries and generate outputs for analytics.
• Maintain documentation of case processing decisions for audit readiness.
• Follow SOPs and regulations for intake, triage, processing and closure of case safety reports.
• Contribute to aggregate safety narratives for regulators and stakeholders.
• Verify completeness and coding accuracy of key case fields.
