Job summary

JOSMEF MEDICAL CORPORATION in Cebu City is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to oversee dispensing, patient counseling, and ensure compliance with FDA/DOH guidelines. This role also involves supervising Pharmacy Assistants and interns.

You will monitor stock, coordinate with warehouse, and maintain accurate records of sales and controlled drugs while collaborating with doctors and staff to support safe, effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with a valid PRC license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy.
• Strong knowledge of drug classifications, dosage, and therapeutic uses.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient-handling skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS or pharmacy management systems.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and interactions before dispensing.
• Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and contraindications.
• Ensure compliance with FDA and company dispensing guidelines.
• Supervise and train Pharmacy Assistants and interns in dispensing procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels, expiry dates, and reorder points to prevent stockouts.
• Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing for replenishment of medicines and supplies.
• Maintain accurate stock cards and monitor variance between physical and system inventory.
• Maintain records of sales, prescriptions, and controlled drug transactions.
• Assist during regulatory inspections and ensure readiness for audits.
• Provide excellent customer service and collaborate with doctors and nurses.
