Job summary

Silang Specialists Medical Center in Cavite is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will ensure safe dispensing, provide counseling and drug information, and maintain accurate records for both inpatients and outpatients.

You will monitor medication inventory and storage, and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to promote safe and rational use of medications in line with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with active PRC ID/License.
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• Experience in dispensing and compounding is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and process prescriptions accurately for inpatients and outpatients.
• Counsel patients on medications and drug information.
• Monitor inventory, expiration dates, and storage of medicines.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and reports.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Job Description

The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing and management of medicines and pharmaceutical supplies for both inpatients and outpatients. The position reviews and processes prescriptions, provides medication counseling and drug information, monitors medication inventory and expiration dates, ensures proper storage of medicines, and maintains accurate pharmacy records. The Pharmacist also coordinates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to promote the safe and rational use of medications while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
• Must be a Licensed Pharmacist (with active PRC ID/License)
• Responsible for aiding customers by compounding and/or dispensing prescription medications.
• With or without experience as a pharmacist, but experience is an advantage.
• Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
