Overview

Join a mission-driven company leading the charge in clean energy! We are looking for a Permits Head to lead and oversee all permitting activities for our solar projects across various locations. This role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, timely approvals, and smooth coordination with distribution utility organizations, government agencies and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all permitting activities for solar installations—residential, commercial, and utility-scale.
  • Ensure requirements for each DUs and LGUs across the country are maintained and updated regularly to expedite compliance submission.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with LGUs, government agencies (e.g., DOE, ERC, DENR, DOLE), and utility providers.
  • Ensure all projects comply with local, regional, and national regulations, securing necessary clearances and approvals.
  • Create and implement streamlined permitting processes, templates, and checklists.
  • Monitor permit timelines and proactively address bottlenecks or delays.
  • Coordinate closely with project, engineering, and legal teams to ensure permit requirements are integrated into project planning.
  • Provide guidance and updates to management on permit statuses, risks, and regulatory changes.
  • Train and supervise permit officers or coordinators to ensure consistent performance and regulatory alignment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Public Administration, Legal Management, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in permits management—preferably in the solar, energy, or infrastructure industry.
  • Strong knowledge of national and local permitting procedures, codes, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to handle high-volume permitting requirements across multiple sites.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time-sensitive processes effectively.
  • Familiarity with solar industry regulations is a strong advantage.
