Your Role
As a Senior People Business Partner Officer, you will be a strategic advisor to business leaders, aligning people practices with operational goals to drive organizational effectiveness. Embedded in a matrix structure, this role serves as the primary People partner for assigned business units, translating business strategy into actionable people initiatives.
Strategic Partnership & Business Alignment
- Develop a strong understanding of the business unit’s strategy, goals, and KPIs.
- Translate business priorities into people strategies that support growth, agility, and performance.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, identifying talent needs, skills gaps, and succession requirements.
- Support organizational design and restructuring initiatives to optimize team effectiveness.
- Use HR and operational data to provide insights and evidence-based recommendations, including analysis of reports prepared by People Shared Services.
Organizational Effectiveness & Change Management
- Act as a change agent and trusted advisor during organizational changes, restructurings, and process implementations.
- Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, and building high-performing teams.
- Lead the localized rollout and consistent application of HR programs, policies, and initiatives designed by the People Strategy team.
Employee Relations, Engagement & Culture
- Serve as the first point of contact for complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent policy application prior to escalation.
- Partner with leaders to address engagement, morale, and workplace culture within the business unit.
- Identify development needs and connect employees and managers with appropriate learning solutions.
HR Operations & Shared Services Liaison
- Act as the primary liaison between the business unit and People Shared Services to ensure smooth delivery of HR transactional services, including:
- PEME/BI coordination (waiver requests only)
- Virtual New Hire Orientation (WFH) and SODP review
- Contract amendments and issuance
- Account-specific policy creation and NDA drafting
- Clinic management and annual physical exam scheduling
- Training bond administration
- Temporary Job Assignment (TJA) processing
- APO and attendance processing
- Ensure adherence to HR processes and effective use of the shared services model.
- Partner with People Shared Services to ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role, preferably in a fast-paced or matrix environment.
- Strong business acumen and solid knowledge of HR best practices.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a matrix reporting structure is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive organizational effectiveness.
- Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations.
