IEC Greentech Inc. is seeking a Pollution Control Officer (PCO) / Safety Officer II to ensure compliance with Philippine environmental and occupational safety laws.
The role oversees pollution prevention, hazardous waste management, and regulatory reporting, serving as the main liaison with DENR-EMB and DOLE on environmental and safety matters. The candidate will implement the OSH program, conduct workplace safety inspections, and lead safety trainings.

The Pollution Control Officer (PCO) / Safety Officer II is responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with Philippine environmental and occupational safety and health laws. The position oversees pollution prevention, hazardous waste management, environmental permitting, workplace safety programs, accident prevention, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement of the company's Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management System. The role serves as the primary liaison with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-EMB) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on environmental and safety compliance matters.
Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, and DENR-EMB requirements.
Monitor compliance with the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) or Certificate of Non-Coverage (CNC), when applicable.
Prepare and submit all required environmental reports to DENR-EMB within prescribed deadlines.
Monitor air emissions, wastewater discharge, solid waste, hazardous waste, and chemical management activities.
Supervise proper storage, labeling, transport, and disposal of hazardous wastes through DENR-accredited transporters and treatment facilities.
Maintain records of hazardous waste manifests, permits, transport documents, laboratory analyses, and disposal certificates.
Coordinate environmental monitoring activities with accredited laboratories.
Conduct regular environmental inspections and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Investigate environmental incidents, spills, or non-compliance cases and prepare incident reports.
Lead environmental awareness programs and sustainability initiatives.
Coordinate with DENR-EMB during inspections, audits, and regulatory visits.
Keep updated with new environmental laws, regulations, and DENR issuances.
Implement and maintain the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program in accordance with DOLE requirements.
Conduct workplace safety inspections to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
Recommend corrective actions to eliminate workplace hazards.
Conduct accident and incident investigations and prepare reports with root cause analysis.
Maintain records of accidents, near misses, and occupational illnesses.
Facilitate safety orientation for newly hired employees.
Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and emergency drills.
Ensure employees comply with PPE requirements and established safety procedures.
Monitor contractor compliance with company safety policies.
Coordinate emergency response activities including fire prevention, evacuation, and first aid readiness.
Assist during DOLE labor inspections and OSH compliance audits.
Recommend improvements to reduce workplace risks and promote a culture of safety.
Maintain updated environmental and safety records.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual compliance reports.
Ensure permits, licenses, and certifications remain valid.
Maintain legal registers and monitor compliance deadlines.
Assist management during internal and external audits.
Develop and update EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Conduct environmental and safety training for employees.
Promote waste segregation, pollution prevention, and energy conservation initiatives.
Lead emergency preparedness exercises.
Educate employees regarding environmental responsibilities and workplace safety.
Perform other duties assigned by management related to Environment, Health, and Safety.
Participate in management review meetings concerning EHS performance.
Recommend continuous improvement projects for environmental protection and workplace safety.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or any related four-year course.
At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in environmental compliance, occupational safety, or EHS, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in dealing with DENR-EMB and DOLE regulatory requirements is an advantage.
Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) or eligible for accreditation by DENR-EMB.
Valid 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) for Safety Officer II certification.
Additional environmental or safety certifications are an advantage.
