Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. is seeking a PCB Designer II in the Philippines to handle layout, schematic, and routing of PCBs. You will work on high-frequency, high-density designs for switch-mode power conversion and digital control boards.

The role requires a BS degree in ECE/EE/COE and 3+ years experience with Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, SolidWorks, and CAM350. Strong power supply background and teamwork in a multicultural environment are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in ECE, EE or COE.
• 3+ years of PCB layout, schematic and library creation experience.
• Experience with high-density switch-mode power conversion and digital control boards.

Responsibilities

• Layout, design and routing of schematics and PCBs.
• Handle high-frequency, high-density PCB designs.
• Work on power supply PCB designs from few hundred watts to tens of kW.
• Layout of digital control boards.
• Liaise with engineering, manufacturing, compliance and vendors.
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures.

Position Title - PCB Designer II

Responsibilities

• Handle activities related to the layout, design and routing of Schematics and Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)
• Act on high-frequency, high-density PCB designs of moderate to high complexity switch-mode power conversion
• Work on low-wattage of few hundred Watts to high-wattage tens of kW power supply PCB Designs
• Work on layout of digital control boards
• Act as liaison to Advanced Engineering EE and Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering, Agency Compliance and PCB vendors
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Qualifications

• BS degree in ECE, EE and COE
• At least 3 years of experience in PCB Layout, Schematics and Library Creation (Preferably on high-density switch-mode power conversion and digital control boards)
• Extensive experience in Cadence Allegro ver. 23.1, Altium Designer 25, SolidWorks and CAM350 software
• Strong background in power supply design
• Background in RF a plus
• Exposure to customer electronics R&D or design for manufacturability an advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment with a strong sense of ownership
