JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Payments SME with hands-on Finastra Global PAYplus (GPP) experience to support a large-scale Core Banking Transformation Program for a client in the Philippines.

The Payments SME will own the payments product stream and be responsible for requirements analysis, integration, and To-Be solution design covering RTGS, SWIFT, cards, and real-time payment integrations.

This is a hands-on core banking implementation role. Candidates must have proven end-to-end experience delivering core banking transformation or implementation programs and must be comfortable working directly with product vendors to challenge, validate, and finalize the To-Be solution design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the Payments SME throughout requirements analysis, solution design, build, testing, cutover, and go-live.

• Analyze business and technical requirements and design payment solutions using Finastra GPP.

• Support solution design for RTGS, SWIFT, cross-border payments, cards, and real-time payment integrations.

• Design and document integrations between GPP and upstream/downstream applications using MQ, REST/SOAP APIs, and file-based interfaces.

• Prepare and validate data mapping and transformation logic using JSON/XML and other relevant formats.

• Lead discussions with business stakeholders, interface teams, Solution Architecture teams, platform vendors, and product vendors.

• Prepare, review, and drive sign-off of Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) and functional/technical design documents.

• Explain and support cross-border payment workflows, including SWIFT and ISO 20022 message flows.

• Work directly with product vendors to clarify product capabilities, configurations, gaps, and constraints.

• Lead and/or participate in workshops to gather, validate, and finalize requirements and solution designs.

• Support SIT/UAT planning and execution, integration testing, defect triage, and resolution.

• Support data mapping, migration validation, reconciliation, and integration-related activities.

• Monitor and support payment interface SLA, throughput, latency, and performance requirements.

• Ensure integrations comply with applicable security standards such as OAuth2 and SSL and relevant payment regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with substantial hands-on experience in core banking transformation or implementation programs.

• Proven hands-on Finastra Global PAYplus (GPP) implementation/integration experience within a core banking transformation program.

• Strong functional and technical knowledge of:

  • RTGS

  • SWIFT

  • Cross-border payments

  • ISO 20022 messaging

• Hands-on experience integrating payment platforms through:

  • REST/SOAP APIs

  • MQ

  • File-based interfaces

  • JSON/XML

• Proven experience preparing Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) and obtaining stakeholder/vendor sign-off.

• Experience with functional and technical solution design and integration documentation.

• Proven experience supporting the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements, design, build, SIT/UAT, cutover, and go-live.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business, technology, architecture, interface, and vendor teams.

• Ability to independently drive solutioning, documentation, review, and approvals.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

• Comfortable presenting and defending solution options to senior stakeholders and product vendors.

• Must be based in the Philippines and available to remain in the Philippines for the entire project duration.
