Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
• Current nursing license
• Basic Nursing skills
• BLS/ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough physical examinations and assessments of health needs, including evaluation of vital signs and identification of physical abnormalities or health concerns
• Work collaboratively with doctors, therapists, social workers, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs, preferences, and current condition, including short- and long-term health goals
• Provide direct hands-on care for patients suffering from injuries, chronic illnesses, or recovery from surgery, including pain management and assistance with daily living activities
• Administer medications safely, initiate IV infusions, and follow correct protocols for storing drugs, particularly controlled substances
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient health records, treatments, prescriptions, and progress notes to maintain continuity of care
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the patient care environment to prevent the spread of infections and adhere to infection control protocols
• Prepare patient rooms for care, ensure all necessary equipment is available and sterile, and regularly check and maintain medical equipment
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families, addressing mental health needs and creating a compassionate environment
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
