Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Angeles. You will support store operations, help customers, and develop store associates to deliver friendly service and achieve daily goals.

In this role you will assist the Store Manager with opening/closing, inventory and merchandising, and ensure compliance with company policies while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff. Part-time position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean: bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
