Job summary

PJ Link Language Center Inc. is seeking a Japanese language instructor to deliver engaging onsite lessons in Makati. The role requires JLPT proficiency (N3+) and the ability to teach both spoken and written Japanese.

Applicants should have 1–2 years of experience with JLPT levels N5–N3 or be willing to undergo the company’s instructor training and technical assessment. Onsite work in Makati is required.

Qualifications

• JLPT N3 level or higher (N2 level is a strong advantage).
• 1–2 years of experience teaching JLPT N5–N3 level, or willingness to undergo training.
• Strong command of both spoken and written Japanese.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Japanese language instruction per curriculum; familiarity with Irodori, Tobira, or Shin Kanzen is a plus.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning activities.
• Assess learners' progress through evaluations and assignments with timely feedback.
• Monitor student performance and attendance using Google Classroom; write comprehensive progress reports.
• Foster a professional, engaging learning environment that encourages participation.
• Coordinate with the Nihongo Coordinator regarding class schedules and progress reports.
• Perform other teaching-related duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Minimum Qualifications:

• JLPT N3 level or higher (JLPT N2 level is a strong advantage).

• Preferably with at least one (1) to two (2) years of experience teaching JLPT N5 - N3 level.

• Applicants without prior teaching experience may still be considered, provided they are willing to undergo the company's instructor training program and successfully complete the required technical assessment.

• Strong command of both spoken and written Japanese, with the ability to effectively deliver language instruction.

• Must be fully available and committed to conducting onsite (face-to-face) classes in Makati City.

• Professional, dependable, and committed to continuous learning and professional development.

• The applicant must preferably be based in or around the Makati or Taguig area only.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Japanese language instruction in accordance with the company's curriculum and quality standards and familiar with materials such as Irodori, Tobira, or Shin Kanzen is a plus.

• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning activities that support effective language acquisition.

• Assess learners' progress through evaluations and assignments, providing timely and constructive feedback.

• Monitor student performance and attendance by effectively utilizing Google Classroom, and demonstrate strict diligence in writing comprehensive progress reports.

• Foster a professional, engaging, and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and development.

• Coordinate directly with the Nihongo Coordinator regarding class schedules, learner progress reports, instructional concerns, and other academic matters.

• Perform other teaching-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
