Job summary

LMA LAW in Makati is seeking a Paralegal I (Junior Paralegal) to join our boutique law and tax practice. This entry-level role offers hands-on exposure to tax, corporate compliance, and regulatory matters as you work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals.

You will prepare legal documents, conduct research, file with SEC, BIR, and LGUs, organize case files, and coordinate with clients. A springboard for long-term growth toward Paralegal II and higher roles in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in legal-related field or completion of paralegal studies
• Fresh graduates or up to 2 years of experience encouraged
• CPA/CPALE candidates welcome
• Interest in taxation, corporate compliance, and regulatory matters
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, certifications, and basic pleadings using firm templates
• Conduct legal research on laws, rules, and jurisprudence under supervision
• Assist in filing documents with courts and government agencies (SEC, BIR, LGUs) and monitor filing status
• Create, maintain, and organize case files, dockets, and client records
• Log and track incoming and outgoing legal documents and correspondence
• Coordinate with clients and government offices for document follow-ups and requirements
• Support lawyers and senior paralegals in day-to-day operations
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Managing Partner or supervising lawyer

About the Role

We are a boutique law and tax firm looking for a Paralegal I to join our growing team. This role is ideal for junior paralegals, fresh graduates, and entry-level professionals who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in building a long‑term career in the legal, tax, and regulatory compliance field.

You will work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals, providing legal and administrative support while gaining hands‑on exposure to tax, corporate, compliance, and legal matters.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, certifications, and basic pleadings using firm templates

• Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) / CPALE passers are welcome to apply
• Interest in taxation, corporate compliance, and regulatory matters
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage tasks and deadlines under supervision
• Proficiency in MS Word and basic Excel
• Willingness to learn and grow in a legal, tax, and compliance environment
