Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cement Mason to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role covers construction, remodeling and renovation tasks under program leadership.

The job demands safety focus and ability to work in varied environments on a remote overseas assignment. Responsibilities include masonry work, finishing concrete, carpentry incidental to masonry, reporting on concrete projects, and compliance with environmental, safety, and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of mason experience or trade school training in concrete repair and new construction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must read, speak, and comprehend English to perform contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and prioritize safety in all tasks.
• Comply with Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements.
• Repair, maintain, and alter buildings.
• Mix mortar, lay bricks and/or concrete sidewalks.
• Perform carpentry incidental to masonry and finish concrete surfaces.
• Prepare detailed reports on concrete projects for Management.
• Other duties as assigned consistent with the position.
