Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. is seeking an Operational Risk Management professional to support the ORR Head and ORM Policy & Monitoring Team Head.

The role focuses on implementing the ORM Framework, conducting end-to-end risk analysis and monitoring of critical bank processes, and enhancing the ORMS platform. The successful candidate will liaise with ORM Coordinators, prepare risk reports for the Board, guide risk identification and controls, and assist in training and awareness materials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any business course or equivalent.
• Required banking experience in ORM/Compliance/Audit.
• Cross-functional exposure preferred.
• Must be amenable to working onsite and assigned to Makati or Ortigas.

Responsibilities

• Liaises with ORM Coordinators for timely submission and analysis of ORM reports and requirements.
• Prepares regular operational risk reports for Board and Senior Management highlighting material risks.
• Guides ORM Coordinators on identification and assessment of operational risks and controls.
• Facilitates ORMS system access and maintenance requests within turnaround time.
• Assists in gathering and analyzing operational risk information from ORM reports.
• Helps develop operational risk training and awareness materials and conduct briefings.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing assistance to the ORR Head and ORM Policy & Monitoring Team Head, in implementing the Operational Risk Management (ORM) Framework and Strategy by conducting awareness programs and performing end-to-end risk analysis and monitoring of assigned critical/key Bank processes owned by the various business and support units, and managing and enhancing the ORM Solution (ORMS) system.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaises with ORM Coordinators for the timely submission, sound review and analysis of ORM reports/requirements on the Bank’s critical/key processes including, but not limited to: Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Incident Reports (IRs) and Loss Data Reports.
• Prepares regular operational risk reports to be elevated/presented to the Board and/or Senior Management, highlighting any material operational risk issues / concerns.
• Provides guidance and advice to ORM Coordinators on proper identification and assessment of operational risks inherent in the critical / key processes for which they are accountable, and assessment of related controls.
• Facilitates ORMS system access and maintenance requests within specified turn-around time.
• Assists in the gathering and analysis of operational risk information from submitted ORM reports / requirements.
• Assists in developing operational risk training and awareness materials, and conducting briefings.
