About the role:

The Order To Cash Team Leader will support the manager by directly supervising and coordinating activities of staff and ensure expectations set by business are delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises direct reports in the processing tasks assigned and ensure they are delivered in an efficient manner and completed in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Some of the main BAUs overseen are the following: Payment & Receipt bank reconciliation GL Journals Posting
  • Ensure strict SOX compliance and assist in internal and external audit and controls procedures.
  • Plans and prepares specific tasks, contingency plans and work schedules of employees ensuring coverage in key tasks of the team.
  • Handles debt escalation of problematic debtor accounts, resolves escalated client complaints or queries and manages these to completion within turn-around time.
  • Reviews and generates Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports and tracks team performance in accordance with the SLAs.
  • Conducts debt reviews with business stakeholders to discuss performance, problematic accounts, customer queries and to discuss/resolve outstanding issues related to each revenue streams
  • Facilitates month-end activities and ensures accurate and timely submission of reports.
  • Evaluates and discusses job performance with staff and trains or arranges training to be provided and addresses appropriate behavioural issues.
  • Assists in the review, development and implementation of process improvements or amendments within key areas of Accounts services and collaborates with different functional teams as needed by the business.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy or Finance and/or equivalent courses.
  • Certification of Public Accountancy is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant Accounts Receivable in a supervisory capacity, with five to six (5-6) years overall work experience, preferably from global shared services environments and/or multinational companies.
  • Preferably with Oracle System, Adbook and/or Salesforce, Archimedes, CRM background but not required. CORE
  • Attention to Detail - Ability to notice both minute and pertinent details of transactions, situations and documents; thorough and conscientious when performing work.
  • Effective Communication – Can convey clear and convincing oral and written communication to individuals or groups effectively taking into account the audience and nature of information being presented. Uses appropriate strategies to gain genuine agreement and commitment.
  • Customer Service – Ability to work with internal and external clients, assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolve concerns, or satisfy their expectations; committed to providing quality products and services.
  • Problem Solving – Ability to identify problems; determine accuracy and relevance of information; use sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations.
  • Planning and Evaluating – Develops timelines and milestones, identifies priorities. Ability to organise work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements. Determine short- or long-term goals and strategies. Coordinate with other organisations or parts of the organisation to accomplish goals. Monitor progress and evaluate outcome communication to individuals or groups effectively taking into account the audience and nature of information being presented. Uses appropriate strategies to gain genuine agreement and commitment.
  • Drive for Results – Consistently maintains high levels of productivity; Shows a passion for improving the delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • People Management - Clearly establishes and communicates expectations and accountabilities; monitors and evaluates performance; provides effective feedback and coaching; identifies development needs and helps employees address them to achieve optimal performance and gain valuable skills that will translate into strong performance in future roles.
