Job summary

Aboitiz Power Corporation is seeking a Data Migration Developer in Cebu City, Philippines. The role focuses on Oracle PL/SQL development to extract and prepare legacy asset and geographic data for migration to a new target system, ensuring accurate data extraction and proper unbundling for migration.

The successful candidate will work closely with the data migration team to deliver results, document data mapping decisions, and adhere to governance and security standards in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the specified fields.
• 1 year of experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimize PL/SQL scripts to extract data from the Oracle Work and Asset Management (WAM) Database and the Geographic Information System (GIS) Database.
• Develop scripts to unbundle WAM Assets, breaking down bundled/composite asset records into their constituent components required for migration.
• Analyze source data structures in the WAM and GIS databases to determine appropriate extraction and transformation logic.
• Validate extracted and unbundled data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency prior to handoff for migration or loading.
• Document extraction and unbundling logic, scripts, and data mapping decisions for project records and knowledge transfer.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, script errors, and performance issues encountered during extraction and unbundling activities.
• Collaborate with the data migration team, business analysts, and system owners to clarify data requirements and resolve data quality issues.
• Ensure all scripts and processes comply with project data governance, security, and change management standards.
• Provide status updates and progress reports to the Project Lead throughout the engagement.
