Job summary

weSource Management Consultancy Firm is seeking an Operations Risk Management Head (AVP) for a client in the banking sector in Makati. The role is onsite, Monday to Friday, with a salary range up to PHP 200k per month.

The candidate will design and implement the operational risk management framework, focusing on scenario analysis, capital assessment, risk analytics, and MI reporting. Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate should be at least a College graduate with Operational Risk Management experience within financial services; strong candidates with transferable experience will be considered.
• Minimum 7 years of Operational Risk Management experience, with at least 3 years in managerial roles
• Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong Excel skills
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with autonomy and teamwork
• Must be willing to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Operational Risk framework and events reporting as second line of defense.
• Support risk governance rollout, including risk appetite, controls, and SCAs.
• Embed risk framework across business areas and drive risk culture.
• Organize workshops for process mapping and risk assessment of key processes.
• Monitor action plans from audits, regulatory inspections, and risk assessments.
• Engage senior management and risk/compliance functions for risk-based decisions.
• Assist in business continuity planning and related tests.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders on risk matters.
