Job Description
The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the resort, ensuring seamless guest experiences, smooth coordination between departments, and prompt resolution of issues. This role requires leadership, hospitality expertise, and a proactive approach to ensure the highest standards of service and safety are maintained at all times.
- Oversee daily resort operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all departments (front office, housekeeping, F&B, recreation, security, and maintenance) are functioning efficiently.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guest concerns, feedback, and urgent issues, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property (villas, facilities, events spaces, etc.) to maintain quality, cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
- Coordinate with the events team to ensure successful execution of weddings, parties, and corporate functions.
- Supervise front office staff and ensure smooth check-in/check-out procedures.
- Handle incidents, emergencies, or complaints promptly and report to management as necessary.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively find ways to improve the customer experience.
- Manage staff scheduling and on-ground delegation when Operations Manager is not available.
- Prepare end-of-shift reports summarizing guest concerns, incidents, occupancy, and departmental coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a resort, hotel, or leisure facility.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Must be flexible with work hours, including weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and property management systems (PMS) is a plus.
- Preferably a resident of or willing to relocate to San Mateo, Rizal or nearby areas.
