Overview
This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP. Under the supervision of the Deputy Task Order Manager, the Operations Manager assists in the day‑to‑day operational execution of all LOGCAP Program functions at the assigned location, supervises and provides leadership to assigned personnel, and is responsible for problem resolution, planning, execution, and leadership of LOGCAP functions across the site. The Operations Manager must demonstrate exemplary management and leadership capabilities, especially in collaboration, team building, talent development, fiscal and human resources management, and process improvement. The manager will interface directly with the customer for mission accomplishment and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Deputy Task Order Manager with the day-to-day operations at the assigned site and provide oversight to the Operations team
- Ensure all CDRL reporting requirements are met within the established timelines and standards
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and reports related to operational activities
- Monitor the performance of department managers and supervisors, ensuring submission of CDRL reports and other tasks as required
- Participate in the development of functional strategy and forecasting, including research and development for operational planning
- Support detailed planning efforts and assist with monitoring contractual performance
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and advise on operational matters
- Create and maintain records for all operational activities, ensuring proper filing
- Develop and maintain operational processes and workflows to use resources efficiently
- Provide leadership, consultation, and mentoring to all assigned personnel, creating development opportunities for junior leaders and fostering a culture of continuous teaming
- Ensure that organizational goals align with Vectrus objectives for the assigned location/area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if a degree is required
- Education and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, or equivalent knowledge and experience (preferred)
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (desired)
- PMP certification (desired)
- Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Experience
- Five to eight years as a manager in a multi-discipline environment comparable to this contract
- Preferred background in military installation base support/infrastructure management
- Skills
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Knowledge of principles and processes for customer service, including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English
- Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork
- Good judgment and discretion
- High proficiency in MS Office and related applications
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of assigned personnel as required
- Working Conditions
- Capable of working in various weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 80°F
- Physical Requirements
- Light work; exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly to move objects
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents
