We are seeking a hands-on, proactive, and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day business activities and ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable operations. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing operational workflows, coordinating employees and departments, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing practical solutions to maximize productivity and business performance.
This role requires someone who is willing to conduct regular area and field visits, personally engage in operational activities, and take an active role in resolving business concerns.
1. Daily Business Operations
Oversee and manage the overall day-to-day operations of the business.
Ensure that daily activities, workflows, and operational processes are carried out efficiently and according to company standards.
Monitor business activities and address operational concerns, and delays.
Coordinate with employees, departments, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Personally assist in operational activities when necessary to ensure business continuity.
2. Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement
Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities to simplify procedures and improve productivity.
Develop and implement practical systems, procedures, and solutions to make daily work easier, faster, and more organized.
Minimize unnecessary expenses, delays, resource wastage, and operational inefficiencies.
Establish clear task assignments, operational schedules, and accountability measures.
Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements and make adjustments when necessary.
3. Area and Field Operations
Conduct regular area visits, field inspections, and operational assessments.
Personally monitor business activities at different locations, branches, project sites, or operational areas as required.
Ensure that employees and field personnel are performing their assigned duties properly.
Identify operational issues on-site and implement immediate corrective actions when appropriate.
Coordinate with field personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks, deliveries, and other operational requirements.
Be willing to travel and actively participate in field operations as business needs require.
4. Business Performance and Profitability
Monitor operational costs, resource utilization, productivity, and overall business performance.
Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce operating expenses, and improve profitability.
Ensure that company resources, equipment, inventory, manpower, and facilities are utilized effectively.
Review operational reports and recommend improvements to management.
Support business growth initiatives through effective operational planning and execution.
5. Employee and Team Management
Supervise, guide, and coordinate employees involved in daily business operations.
Ensure that employees understand their responsibilities, schedules, and performance expectations.
Monitor attendance, work progress, productivity, and compliance with company procedures.
Address operational concerns and provide guidance to employees when necessary.
Promote teamwork, accountability, discipline, and efficient communication across departments.
6. Inventory, Logistics, and Resource Coordination
Monitor inventory movement, stock availability, deliveries, and other operational requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and internal teams to ensure timely business transactions.
Ensure proper utilization and monitoring of company assets, supplies, and equipment.
Identify potential operational disruptions and coordinate solutions to prevent delays.
7. Reporting and Management Coordination
Prepare regular operational reports covering business activities, employee performance, operational expenses, and issues encountered.
Provide management with updates, findings, and recommendations based on field visits and daily operations.
Report significant operational concerns and recommend corrective measures.
Coordinate directly with the business owner or management regarding operational priorities and business improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Entrepreneurship, or any related field.
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations, business management, logistics, retail, wholesale trading, or a related industry.
Previous experience supervising employees and managing day-to-day business activities.
Strong understanding of operational workflows, process improvement, and business coordination.
Willingness to conduct regular area visits, field inspections, and hands-on operational work.
Ability to travel between business locations or operational sites as required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic operational reporting.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and initiative.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
