• Licensed or registered Electrical Engineer with current credentials.
• 1–2 years in plant operations and maintenance, preferably in solar energy.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and power plant operations.
• Familiarity with LOTO, preventive and corrective maintenance, and switching procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct daily plant switching activities including energization, de-energization, and isolation.
• Monitor operating parameters and performance of plant equipment (lines, substations, switchgear, inverters, transformers).
• Perform routine visual inspections to identify defects and issues.
• Troubleshoot alarms, faults, and breakdowns; coordinate with teams to resolve.
• Coordinate with NGCP to ensure compliant switching during maintenance.
• Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for safety.
• Collect, record, validate, and maintain operational data.
• Coordinate with Maintenance on work orders and preventive/corrective tasks.
• Monitor plant performance indicators such as power generation, availability, and PR.

Job Overview:

• The Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient day-to-day operation of a solar power plant. This role involves monitoring plant performance, conducting switching and isolation activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with established operational and safety procedures.
• The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations and Maintenance team to maintain plant reliability, operational efficiency, and accurate reporting of plant performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct daily plant switching activities, including energization, de-energization, and equipment isolation, in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
• Monitor the operating parameters and performance of plant equipment and systems, including transmission lines, substations, switchgears, inverters, and transformers.
• Perform routine visual inspections to identify equipment defects, abnormalities, and potential operational issues.
• Troubleshoot plant system alarms, equipment faults, and operational breakdowns, coordinating with the appropriate teams to facilitate resolution.
• Coordinate with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) to ensure compliance with prescribed switching sequences and protocols during maintenance activities.
• Implement operational Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure personnel safety during equipment isolation and maintenance.
• Collect, record, validate, and maintain operational data to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team regarding work orders, preventive maintenance activities, and corrective maintenance requirements.
• Monitor plant performance indicators, including power generation, plant availability, and performance ratio (PR).

Qualifications:

• Must be a Licensed or Registered Electrical Engineer.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in plant operations and maintenance, preferably in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar power plants.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, power plant operations, equipment monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance, plant switching procedures, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
